Carlos Bianchi was born on April 26, 1949, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is an ex-player and ex-trainer of soccer teams of Argentina and france, currently he's 59 years, he works as a sports journalist for ESPN on having had rejected offers to be a trainer again. He is married from before his stage as professional football player and now he has two children and three grandsons.

His life can divide in two parts, both with an impressive success, the first one as a football player and scorer of big Argentine teams and of France too; and the second one as a coach, obtaining several triumphs and being this part the most remembered because it is the most recent.

Physical description:

He is an old person. He is small and a litlle plump. He has wavy medium length white hair. He has a thin eyebrows, a thick eyelashes, small brown eyes, an small nose and a wide mouth in a wrinkled and clean-shaven skin.

Stage as a football player:

His career as a football player began on July 23, 1967, with 18 years, playing as "forward" in the club "Velez Sarsrfield", of which he is a fan.
But his first goal was in 1968 obtaining also his first and unique national title as player with "Velez", then to turn into the scorer of the tilt of a consecutive way into 1970 and 1971.
The majority of the successful players of Argentina after a time to be in Argentine were sold to a European team and Bianchi was not the exception, he was sold to "Stade de Riems", of the first division of football of France. There, he continue showing his great capacity as a scorer, marking more than 100 goals in four seasons and turning into scorer three times, then to be sold to another important team of France, "Paris Saint-Germain", where he continued appearing as scorer of his team, obtaining more commemorations in two seasons, which he was in the French equipment.
Then it, he goes to another team, Stranburgo's "Racing Club", where he marked few goals and won nothing.
After this, he decided to return to his favorite equipment, "Velez Sarsfield", where he returned to be crowned as the maximum scorer again. And after approximately four years, in 1984 he decided to turn to his first French team the "Stade de Reims". At the age of 35, he decided to retire from his career as a football player, .
While all these changes of equipments were happening, Carlos Bianchi also was chosen to play in the Argentine national team, where he,she was not OK because he played very few games and he didn't make many goals, because of it this is a stage little remembered of him.

Stage like manager:

In 1984, he began his career as trainer of the French equipment Stade De Reims. The first equipment that he directed was the same of that he moved back and in addition in the same year in which he retired like football player. He lasted in the post for four years and then he passed for two more European teams in which he didn't manage any recognition. He did his more important achievements when he decided to return to Argentina and to his equipment Velez Sarsfield, but this time to direct it.
In the year 1993, he achieved important victories for the equipment of Liniers: 3 national leagues and 3 international cups (one liberators cup, one Inter-American cup and one intercontinental cup , defeating in the latter the Italian team AC Milan).
For his achievements as manager in Velez a commentator of football dubbed him "El Virrey ", by which still he is known.
In 1996, he went to Europe to direct the AS Rome of Italy where he was fired for not achieving the results expected , then he decides to return to the country but as a football commentator and when everybody believed that he was going to direct the Argentine team, appeared an offer of Boca Juniors: thus, Bianchi became the manager of Boca in the season 1998.
In Boca Juniors, he achieve his better stage as coach obtaining 3 national leagues, 2 liberators cup (the most important cup of all américa) and an intercontinental cup (the most important cup that decides the best team of the world) conquering 2-1 to Real Madrid, one of the biggest equipments of all europe and of the whole world.
But in 2001 he decides to leave the institution just after having lost a final against the Bayer Munich, later he returned in 2003 where he won one national league, one liberators cup and one intercontinental cup, conquering again to the team of Italy, AC MILAN, with which already he had played with Velez.
Later he decided to withdraw from the team in 2004, also on having lost a final, this time against Once Caldas of Colombia by penalties, part at the time of return to Europe to direct the Athletic of Madrid from Spain in which he don't manage to expire with the espectativas and he was dismissed. Of return in the country he obtained more offers to return to direct t Argentine eams but he rejected this and decided to remain as a football commentator and journalist.

Individual achievements:

Bianchi, is the maximum scorer in Vélez Sarsfield's history with 206 goals the 11º in the Argentine football. He is also with his 179 goals, the 10 º maximum scorer in the history of the French League.
After his retirement, Bianchi was recognized by the FIFA as the Argentine football player most scorer in the history of the tilts of first of division of the world, on having annotated 385 goals (206 in Argentine and 179 in France), outdoing Di Stefano (377 goals) and Labruna (292 goals)

My admiration towards him is because he is an extraordinary player and an idol for me. Football is my passion and my team is "Boca Juniors", with which Bianchi achieve many very importants titles for the club and for the happiness of all fans including me.
