Q: Do I have to add my photo to my profile?
A: You don't have to, but it's a very good idea! Notice that, unless you add an image to your profile, you will never appear under "top contributors" (in the box on the lefthand side of your screen). However, you don't need to publish a photo which clearly shows your face. Alternatively, you can publish a photo of a PART of you (e.g. a close-up of an eye, a hand or a shoe) or a favourite possession of yours. Get creative!

Q: Do I need somebody's permission to upload my photo or write my full name?
A: Yes, any person under 18 must get permission from their parents to publish personal data on the Web. I will soon make a form available to you for them to sign if you choose to post your photo or want to sign your work with your full name. You are encouraged to sign your work with your first name and initial for your last name, and consider the alternatives to a photo suggested in the previous question if you'd rather not ask for permission from your parents.
