Biography
Diego Antonio Caccia Torres was born on March 9,1971 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is the fifth son of Lolita Torres and Julio Caccia,of course he inherited whole the talent of his mother like an artist. He's a singer, a composer, and actor, and the UNICEF has selected him as his new ambassador of good will for Latin American and the Caribean.Since he was young his life is in connection with the music. When he was a teenager he form a band that called "La Marca", but this only lasted two year. While he was working with his band, he took his first steps as and actor in the TV world.
Around 1991 Diego was certain that music and drama were his passions. This year he participated in "La banda del Golden Rocket" that was a very successful series, which lasted three years, and where he worked with Fabian Vena, Adrian Suar. But years before, he debut in film that called "El professor punk" where Diego played the role of a schoolboy. In 1997 he took part in the film "La furia" that had more than 1'300000 spectators.As for his life and music his biggest dream came true, he realised the album "Diego Torres", his first album.Obtained international significance due to its fifth album "A Different World" in 2001. For this album he received a lot of nomination and awards. In 2004 he realised a live concert, MTV Unplugged, that was a best seller. And in 2006 he realised his last album "Andando", and the same year he realised shows on Velez Sarsfield stadium. a few months ago he took part in a show organized by ALAS, in México.
His girlfriend was Débora Bello, a model.

"Diego Torres". 1992: With this first album, Diego consolidated his quality. And in few months,that album was certified triple-platinum for Argentina. And he realised a tour around the country.
"Tratar de Estar Mejor".1994: Aesthetics, very similar to previous. This album combined different rhythms. Diego was the best-selling and most attracting singer of Argentina. And this album sold half million copies only in Argentina and about the same in America.
"Luna Nueva". 1996: With this album Diego could conquer the Spanish, who invited him to take part in a tribute album to Joan Manuel Serrat called "Serrat... Eres Único", and Diego played and singed "Penélope". From this album, Diego began performing in countries of America and became the best Argentine male singer.
"(Diego Torres)Tal Cual Es". 1999: About the name of this album Diego said: "I thought that "Diego Torres: Tal cual es", joined both my name and the album's name making up something that has much to do with this album. Something that has much to do with me. My lyrics reflect what happens to me both as a person."
"Un Mundo Diferente". 2001: This album had a greatest impact on Argentina and many countries audience, and for this album Diego became popular at national and international level. This album include the song "Color Esperanza" that was a message of peace and love to the world. Diego has become a communication channel that conveys his thousand of fans adetermining winning, and
positive idea that everything is possible.

On November the 7 in 2006, Diego was nominated An Ambassador of UNICEF's Good Will for Latin America and the Caribean. For Diego is was an honor and a pleasure that the UNICEF selected him for that. UNICEF said that the popular singer always supported initiatives that promote peace, solidarity and respect for human rights. His functions are:
- Use his fame to call the attention of all the world on the need to protect the rights of the children.
- Contribute in the promotion of social changes.
- Take part in campaigns of social mobilization and collection of resources in favour of the children and teenagers.
- Promise to use his media interventions, concerts and interviews in the diffusion of key messages of the topics that affect the children in the region and of UNICEF's work.
His appearence
Diego Torres is in his thirties, he's 37 years old. He is short for a man, he's thin but well-built. His hair is short now, sometimes spiky, and when he present his last album ("Andando") he had highlights. About his face, he has a round face, with small eyes, and thin mouth.
He's got tattoos in his body.
