Biography:

David Nalbandian is a professional tennis player and he started to play at the age five in a little court that his grandfather built for him. This is the reason why he particulary likes fast surfaces. David

In 2000, year that turned pro, and 2001, he played a lot of futures and challengers around the world. He finished in the ATP top 50 for the first time.

In 2002, he won his first titles in Estoril, Portugal and Basel, Switzerland and he reached the Wimbledon's Grand Slam final but he lost against Lleyton Hewitt. In that year, he became the best argentine tennis player.

In 2004, he played the semifinals in Roland Garros's Grand Slam but he lost against Gaston Gaudio who was the champion. Later in that year, he was injured and he couldn't play in the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.

In 2005, he won Munich tournament in Germany and the most important one in his career, the Masters Cup in Shangai, China winning it to Roger Federer, the number one tennis player of the world.

In 2006, he won Estoril Open again.

In 2007, he had a bad year but, in the end, he won the Masters Series in Madrid, Spain and Paris, France winning them to Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal respetly.

In 2008, he won his last title in Buenos Aires, his country. At this moment, he is the number 7 of world ranking and he is training for the Olympic Games in Beijing, China.


Why I admire him?
Because he is a great sportman , a better person out of court (he helps children and people with his foundation "David Nalbandian" ) and I like his way of playing very much.

He has got long blonde hair, small light blue eyes, small nose and big ears. He is tall and slim.

I think that David Nalbandian is one of the best tennis players Argentina can have, not only because he is a good player, but also that he doesn't cry or scream like a baby when he is losing the match like others tennis players 8-)
