Biography
Ariel Arnaldo Ortega was born in March 4th, 1974, in Ledesma, Jujuy, Argentina. He is a very famous football player and is one of the most popular idols of "Club Atletico River Plate". His first match was in December 14th, 1991, between River Plate and Platense. That year he won his first title. In 1996, he won the "Libertadores Cup" with River Plate and the following year he emigrate to Valencia FC (Spain), where he scored one of his best goals. In 1998, he was sold to Sampdoria and then to Parma (where he won the UEFA Cup) , both Italy teams. On 2000, he returned to River Plate and 2 years later he go to Fenerbache in Turkey. In 2004, he signed with Newells Old Boys , and won a title in which he was the best player of the team. In 2006, he returned to River Plate, the club that he love. He won one title and he passed to "Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza" because of his problems with alcohol.
His History with the National Team
His first match was in in Miami (USA) against Germany (1993). From that moment on, he was always in the team. He played in 3 World Cups : USA 94 , France 98 and Korea-Japan 2002. He won a gold medal in the Pan American Games 1995 (in Mar del Plata) and in 1996 he won the silver medal in the Atlanta Olympic Games. He played 85 matches and scored 17 goals.
Physical appearance
He is short , slim and has a curly black hair and small eyes.
My opinion about him
I admire him because I love how he play. He is my idol, and I love it when during matches people sing his name. Now I'm a bit sad because he has lot of problems and now he start playing for another team.

I think that he plays football very well, he is an outstanding football player. I love that he has played in River Plate, and I would like him to come back.
