A short biography:

Amy (Lynn) Lee was born on December 13th, 1981, in Riverside, California. She grew with her parents, Sara and John Lee, and her younger sisters and brother: Carrie (18), Lori (17) and Robbie (13). When she was six years old, her sister Bonnie, who was only three years old, died because of an unknown disease. During her carreer, Amy composed a couple of songs for her dead sister like "Even in death", "Hello" or "Like You".
Music was always Amy's passion. She studied the piano for nine years and she sang in her school's choir. In 1998 she met the young guitar player Ben Moody in a campament and decided to form a band with him. David Hodges (keyboard), Rock Gray (Drums) and John LeCompt (guitar) join them and they all formed "Evanescence". In 2000 they recorded their first demo, Origin. That year, Hodges left the band. In 2003 their first CD "Fallen" sold more than 14.000.000 copies and made "Evanescence" win two Grammys. In 2004 "Anywhere but home", a DVD of the band, appeared in the stores. The same year, Ben Moody left "Evanescence" after a fight with Amy (they used to be a couple), and Terry Balsamo joined the band. Their second studio CD, "The open door", appeared on 2006. In 2007, John LeCompt and Rock Gray left the band, too. "Evanescence" is nowadays formed by Amy Lee (the only one original member), Terry Balsamo, Tim McCord, Troy Mclawhorn and Will Hunt.
Amy got married to Josh Hartzler (29) on May 6th, 2007. She confessed that some of her love songs were inspired by him. Now she call herself "Mrs. Amy Hartzler".




Amy Lee has a real gift to play and sing for a live audience, as you can see on the first video here. But she also enjoys producing videoclips fer her songs, and give the videos her style (second video).








Physical appearance:

Amy Lee is really beautiful. She is medium high and a a little plump. She has long black straight? hair (in fact, she used to have it brown!), but sometimes it's curly. Her eyes are quite wide and light blue, although sometimes they look green. Her nose and mouh are small and she's got a light complexion.




Amy Lynn Lee is also famous for her special style and likes in clothes. She likes designing her own dresses and spend a lot of money on dressing. Her style is gothic and dark but she prefers to say it's "Amy Lee's style".
